The myths that we often hear about this matter are:

1) Clean out toxins
2) Benefit the kidney
3) Make you more energetic
4) Make your skin healthier

Of course, drinking water is beneficial. However, you need to know how much water you need a day. So, how do you know how much water you should drink? The answer relies on your body. Your body will know when it needs it. Drink water when you feel thirsty.

Let’s take one example. When you are doing heavy work like exercising, you need to drink more water. This is due to your body having lost its water from sweat.

There is an exception for those who need to drink more water. Those people are the ones who have medical conditions like kidney stones. That is why it is crucial to seek medical advice.

Moreover, regularly check the color of your urine to see if you are hydrated enough. Normal urine is the color of pale yellow. It means that you are hydrated. Remember, drink when your body tells you to!
