Extensive Training For Future Nannies

Future nannies learning at Norland College in England have to undergo extensive training to become the most expensive nannies in the world. These nannies are learning to be ready for any worst-case scenario when caring for their client’s children.

What do these future nannies do? When there are sudden dangers, nannies must protect themselves and the children they look after. That is why at Norland College, these nannies take a class on self-defense. Besides that, these future nannies also need to learn advanced driving techniques as a part of self-defense. According to an interview with Business Insider, this training had helped Alice, a nanny from Norland College who had encountered a threat before. A man was trying to kidnap the girl she babysat.

Not only that, future nannies must have excellent cooking skills. It is due to the fact each family has a different preference for diet. They also need to know how to be an expert in using machines and their own hands to sew.

Most of their clients are high-profile employers, which include the British royal family. To differentiate these nannies from other household servants, they must wear a specific uniform— a beige dress, brown bowler hat, brogues, and white cotton gloves.

Those interested in becoming the most expensive nanny should enroll in Norland College. The course fee is higher than at Oxford and Cambridge University. Worry not because within a year, they will be earning more than future lawyers and accountants. How impressive is that? Check out the full video about these nannies below:
