Have you ever wondered when you eat chili, sometimes it tastes too spicy? Sometimes just spicy, and sometimes it doesn’t taste spicy at all? Well, there’s a reason for the taste.

For your information, there are a variety kinds of chilies that have different level of spiciness! Interesting, right? In a video posted on TikTok by @hpycamel, the account shares a new knowledge to their viewers.

Interestingly, in the video, they show 3 different sizes of chilies and state that each size has different level of spiciness.

Level of spiciness: Very spicy

If you want to detect the level of spiciness for very spicy, you have to check if the chili:

  • has smooth texture, attractive color
  • short/long size of the chili has the same level of spiciness

Level of spiciness: Moderately spicy

To detect the level of spiciness for moderately spicy, do check if the chili:

  • curved end
  • dry and wrinkly texture
  • easy to tear apart

However, the creator added in the comment that this kind of chili depends on where it is imported from. If it’s imported from India, it will taste really spicy. If it’s from China, it doesn’t taste that spicy, just normal.

Level of spiciness: Not spicy
