PDRM Share Useful Tips On What Can We Do When Facing Someone Suspicious

Scammers are all over the place nowadays. Therefore, we should always be alert to them. It does not matter at morning, noon, or night, scammers will find a way to trick you. Once they tricked you, there is no way back.

What would you do if someone knocked on your door? Not just that, they even ask you about the things in your home. Worst, they ask you about your personal information. Will you still open the door and let them inside? The right answer to this question is ‘ignore’ because they might be scamming you.

Scammers are witty. If they are not facing you while scamming you, they will trick you online. For instance, they will use platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, WeChat, and more. They will find a way to make you give them something that they desire, like money.

There are many cases we hear where someone falls into the deep hole of loan scams, and investment scams. Aside from that, what we often hear happening in Malaysia are love scams, and Macau scams. Sometimes, they pretend to be a higher officer or someone in a position to make you believe in them. Not just that, they pretend to be someone who needs help, and after you help them, they just vanished.

For additional information, authorities from any organization would not ask for personal information, like your bank account number. If someone says they are from an organization but asks for money, ignore them. They are frauds!

Remember to not get fooled. Just ignore them because ignorance is bliss!
