Kuala Lumpur’s skyline and several modes of modern transportation can be seen on the obverse, next to the clock face of Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad.

This represents the passage of time since Kuala Lumpur was officially recognized as a city in 1972. It also marks the beginning of its transformation into the metropolitan metropolis that it is today.

Reverse

The text “BANK NEGARA MALAYSIA” appears around the outer edge to represent the issuing institution. Moreover, the logo for the event is located in the upper left corner (highlighted in color on silver coins only).

Elements from the Perdana Botanical Garden and the cultural centre Istana Budaya are also included to emphasize Kuala Lumpur’s reputation as a green and hospitable metropolis.

In addition, at the bottom, the texts “10 RINGGIT” and “1 RINGGIT,” which are the coins’ face values, are on the coin.

Last but not least, if you want to order these coins, you may place your orders at https://duit.bnm.gov.my, starting from 14th November 2022.
