Starting her career at the age of 11, Diana Danielle built her career path primarily through her incredible filmography, she has now released her first-ever English debut track called “Shine On”.
The song is a message of empowerment in overcoming doubt and rising above negativity. Diana drew inspiration from personal experiences and relatable stories of those who may second guess their worth because of someone else or the environment that they’re in.
“We’ve all been there, either in school, work, or our relationships where we’re made to feel that maybe we don’t know what’s best for ourselves or we’re not doing enough. It’s a never-ending scenario that many of us deal with on a daily basis and with “Shine On”, I just wanted an anthem where anyone who listens to it understands that they don’t have to dim their confidence down to make others around them comfortable. I think there’s power in being an individual.”
The lyrics “Catching up with my better self, no one’s holding you back but yourself” definitely set the tone for the music video showcasing the contrast between being in a place of darkness versus reaching enlightenment through a hard time in one’s life.
This release signifies Diana’s mark as a singer with future plans to release upcoming music projects in the future. Previously Diana Danielle was a featured artist on Calum Scott’s “Heaven” and was handpicked especially to represent Malaysia during his SEA collaboration through Universal Music Malaysia and she performed the rendition during his concert in Kuala Lumpur in October.
