Singaporeans ‘Scammed’ By Malaysian, But Here’s The Funny Truth

When visiting another country, we fear the people’s intentions there. Just like @lielnicole, she often hears Singaporeans being scammed by Malaysians.

As a Singaporean who traveled to Malaysia for work purposes, she and her teammates did not know much about the country. Thus, they tend to believe in the locals as the locals know more about their own country.

@lielnicole shared on TikTok her funny experience traveling to Malaysia. The video has gained more than 400 thousand views, especially from Singaporeans and Malaysians.

When she and her teammates were already at the gantry heading to Malaysia, only then they realized they did not have a Touch N’ Go card. The Touch N’ Go card is essential to pay for the tolls. In the video, she mentioned that she used her ‘content creator’ brain to think, and then she thought of borrowing the card from the person behind their car.

Luckily, the person behind them was nice enough to let them borrow the card. Shockingly, one of her teammates told her that the payment for the toll was RM200. She said that the driver who lent them the card told her that. Then, @lielnicole realized that they were being scammed. It made sense because how is it possible that the payment for one toll costs RM200?

@lielnicole even had to reason with herself. She thought if she were a chicken farmer in Malaysia and had to import chickens to Singapore, she had to go through five tolls. That would cost her RM1000. No way!

After a while, they only found out that the RM200 was the balance of the card. The toll only cost RM4. Not just that, the person who lent them the card was following them the whole time to let them know that the toll was not RM200.

What a story! From @lielnicole and her teammates’ experience, she concluded that it is not the Malaysians who scam Singaporeans. Singaporeans are capable of scamming themselves! Watch the full video below:

@lielnicole praised the person lending them the card due to his honesty. Even the public agreed!
