Lucasfilm, the studio behind Star Wars and Indiana Jones series, has teamed up with Studio Ghibli, the acclaimed animation studio responsible for such global hits as Spirited Away, Ponyo, and Howl’s Moving Castle on an unannounced new project.
The Japanese animation studio published a mysterious video teaser on Thursday. The teaser includes a contrast of the Lucasfilm and Studio Ghibli logos.
Who is working on the project, what medium it will use, or even what it is, is currently unknown. In their video, the prestigious Japanese animation studio simply put its logo over Disney’s. However, there is nothing more shown in the video.

From the teaser, it’s enough to say that the teaser is almost certainly for an animated adaptation of a Lucasfilm product.
What’s more, rumors spread around that the adaptation will be Star Wars. Studio Ghibli may adopt any one of several animated Star Wars series produced by Lucasfilm and Disney.
In addition, there will be a second season of Star Wars: Visions on Disney Plus in the spring of 2023. Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 is being marketed as a ” “global tour, celebrating the incredible animation happening across countries and cultures.”
However, Disney and Lucasfilm have been secretive about who will be contributing. Let’s look forward for the upcoming project by these two amazing studios.
