Touching Farewell For A Retiring 87-Year-Old McDonald’s Worker

Recently, a touching farewell video on TikTok of an 87-year-old McDonald’s worker made rounds on the app. TikTok user @afiqraffali posted the heartwarming video celebrating the retirement of the elderly.

In this unexpected economy, we are expected to work for a long time to make ends meet. One might work right until old age before retiring.

Of course, when we hit the age where we are not able to work anymore, we will need to retire and enjoy the rest of our life. It can be sad when one of our colleagues retires, especially when we are close to them.

Even though he is already 87 years of age, it is still amazing how he still has the energy to work. His colleagues appreciated his hard work and decided to throw a farewell retirement for the uncle.

Check the TikTok video out below:

In the video, you can see the colleagues wishing the best for the uncle and telling him to get a lot of rest. The uncle also received a present for his time working there.

The uncle also gives a small speech to his colleague as seen in the video. Lastly, they took a group photo together as a memento of their time together.

TikTok users’ comments

At the time of this writing, the video has over 124 thousand views and over 12 thousand ‘likes’. Other TikTok users took to the comments to say their thoughts and give their best wishes for the uncle.

A TikTok user thanked McDonald’s for giving him the opportunity to work there. Another TikTok user commented that McD is the few companies that don’t generalize the type of workers they hire.
