India’s ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ Asks Contestant, Question About Anwar Ibrahim?

‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire‘ is one of the most popular television shows in the world. Starting in the United Kingdom, this show then has the American version, the Australian version, the Indian version, and more! Our country, Malaysia, also used to film this television game show too!

The contestants who manage to answer the questions given by the host correctly might be a millionaire. Sounds fun! However, we cannot enjoy Malaysia’s version of ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ anymore as it stopped filming a long time ago.

Recently, this show has been the talk of the town again! But why?

In India’s ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire,’ a contestant has been given a question about our 10th Prime Minister!

The questions went:

Which country elected Anwar Ibrahim as its Prime Minister in 2022?

There were four answers the contestant could choose from:

  • Iraq
  • Malaysia
  • Bahrain
  • Indonesia

Such tricky answers for those who do not know much about Malaysia.

Of course, it is a common question about one’s country’s leader. Nevertheless, not everyone can answer this question.

‘Who Wants to Be A Millionaire’ is not solely an entertainment show. It asks contestants about what is happening around the world. Thus, it is a show that is beneficial not only for the contestants but also for the viewers.

Therefore, do you think Malaysia should bring back this show?
