It has been years since the singer-actor, Lee Seung Gi entertains fans with his charming voice and versatile characters. Last month, the issue of Lee and his company, Hook Entertainment, became a hot topic. Not just in South Korea, but all over the world, especially around his fans.
It is reported that Hook Entertainment has never paid Lee for his work in the industry. Lee debuted in 2004, managed by Hook Entertainment, until last year, he formed his own agency, ‘Human Made.’ Nevertheless, Hook Entertainment denied the allegation and insisted that Lee and the company have gone over some financial details.

Today, Lee updated his Instagram about his battle with Hook Entertainment. The company finally paid him 5 billion won. He also asserted that he took the issue to court not because of money, but because someone’s hard work should be appreciated.
“In this situation, the reason why I filed a lawsuit against Hook is not because of the unpaid earnings. Someone’s hard work and sweat should not be misused by someone else’s greed.”
Now that Lee has received his money, he decided to use it for charity. He said, “I decided to use all of the money I have received to help those who are in need. 5 billion won might not be enough to help all of those people. But I will take action, begin with a small step forward.”
However, he is unsure how the 5 billion won is calculated. Thus, he revealed he will still continue fighting in court for his rights.
The singer-actor also thanked his fans and those who have supported him from the start.
