A bit about Crayon Shin-chan

This animated series was originally a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Yoshito Usui. This evergreen series debuted in 1990 and made a weekly appearance in a Japanese magazine, Weekly Manga Action, published by Futabasha.

Sadly, after the passing of Yoshito Usui, the manga in its original form ended on 11 September 2009. However, a new manga started in the summer of 2010. It was pioneered by the members of Usui’s team called New Crayon Shin-chan.

The story sets in Kasukabe, Saitama Prefecture, Japan, and follows the adventures of Shinnosuke “Shin” Nohara, a five-year-old kid full of schemes along with his parents, baby sister, dog, neighbours and best friends.

Generally, the series encapsulates Shin-chan’s daily routines. But what makes it so interesting and fun is the comical aspect of Shin-chan’s behaviour with the people around him.

Crayon Shin-chan shared the joyful news with fans with a tweet. And the new profile picture is a big hint that this movie will be ‘everything Shin-dimension’!

The wait won’t be long, as we’re nearing 2023. Let’s meet the ‘Shin-dimension’ of Shin-chan this upcoming summer!
