SOCSO’s Housewife Social Security Scheme, What We Need To Know?

Starting 1 December 2022, SOCSO (Social Security Organisation) has implemented the Housewife Social Security Scheme that comes under the Housewives’ Social Security Act 2022 (Act 838)

SOCSO intends to provide secure protection for housewives against domestic accidents and invalidity while managing the household. Moreover, since domestic violence reports are still skyrocketing in Malaysia, SOCSO is responsible to ensure these accidents won’t happen to housewives. It’s also to avoid resulting disability due to the physical, verbal and emotional violence they experienced.
