The Selangor Hop-On Hop-Off Tourist Bus Service Will Increase The Number Of Tourist Arrivals

The development of tourism services to boost the domestic and international tourism industry is one of the main focuses of the State of Selangor. As one of the efforts to increase the number of tourists entering the state of Selangor, an MOU event was held to sign a memorandum of understanding for the Hop-On Hop-Off (HOHO) tourist bus service between LNH Tour & Transport Sdn Bhd and Tourism Selangor, located at the Bangunan Dewan Negeri Selangor, Shah Alam on 29th November 2022.

The signing ceremony of this agreement was witnessed by the Honourable Mr. Hee Loy Sian, the EXCO of Tourism and Environment of Selangor together with the Honourable Mr. Borhan bin Aman Shah the EXCO of Rural and Traditional Villages Development of Selangor. This initiative is the first to be carried out in the State of Selangor, with the mission of developing tourism products involving the Sepang district through 2 proposed travel routes for the first phase in Sepang.

LNH Tour & Transport Sdn Bhd will fully bear the entire provision of the HOHO tour bus in terms of operation, technical, and maintenance in addition to related matters such as travel insurance, safety, and passenger liability, as per the conditions that have been set between LNH Tour & Transport and Tourism Selangor.

This Selangor Hop-On Hop-Off Tourist Bus service is believed to be able to attract more tourists through the “Nak Bercuti, Pusing Selangor Dulu!” The campaign targets the domestic tourism market and provides international tourists at KLIA and KLIA2 the option to travel in the surrounding area during the long transit before proceeding to the next flight.

Mr. Azrul Shah Mohamad, the Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Selangor in a statement said, this tourist bus project is expected to able to increase the number of tourists arriving in Sepang District by 3%- 5% by 2023. This can indirectly increase the economy and income opportunities for the operators involved and the surrounding community.

Tourism Selangor will collaborate even more actively in developing the HOHO tourist bus service package through the ‘Go Selangor’ mobile application and the Selangor.Travel website as well as the official social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
