Dato’ Awie Greeted Two Of His Young ‘Doppelgangers’ With A Joke!

Honestly, if you don’t know who Dato’ Awie is, it would be a crime against humanity. Maybe not to that extent, but he is one of the most well-known artists in Malaysia. Not only he’s an established rocker, but he’s also a renowned actor!

How many of us grew up watching his iconic role, Hussin, in Zombi Kampung Pisang and Hantu Kak Limah? His iconic lines like yang kamu kenapa dah berwheelcha ni usop or abang dah boleh beli evo are still remembered today. Additionally, he also starred alongside his best friends, Dato’ Afdlin Shauki, Dato’ Hans Isaac and Dato’ AC Mizal, in films like Baik Punya Cilok and Buli. All of these movies are blockbuster hits once upon a time.

To conclude, he’s indeed a versatile artist!

And to add more good things about the evergreen singer, a video uploaded by Amirul ainul (@amirulainul4788) confirmed that Dato’ Awie is a funny person too!

Two young fans of Dato’ Awie wanted to take a picture with him. The artist complied without hesitation and took their phone. Dato’ Awie jokingly asked, “Why do you look so fair? I think it’s your phone!”

One of the kids said something to the singer, but he didn’t finish his sentence when Dato’ Awie suddenly shouted, “Aamiin!” which took them by surprise and made them laugh.

The other kid called the rocker by abang (brother), and he liked it! The kid further said he loved the singer’s song Di Penjara Janji. But the singer said, “It’s no longer Di Penjara Janji, but Di Penjara Penang.”

The young fans look a bit like Dato’ Awie!

Aside from the laughter shared, the comment section is full of people saying the kids look like the rockstar! Perhaps, they are Dato’ Awie’s doppelganger!
