Mahalini Raharja, affectionately known as Mahalini, has held the debut performance of her first full-length album, ‘fábula,’ in Malaysia. January 28 and 29, 2022, were historical dates for Mahalini and Mylinz (Mahalini’s fan name). Why? Because it’s the date, she performed the songs in her debut album live!
‘Fábula,’ the title of her debut album, has ten songs. It includes her debut single, Bawa Dia Kembali, and three more singles that successfully topped the charts in Malaysia, Kisah Sempurna, Melawan Restu, and Sisa Rasa. Additional new songs in the album are Ini Laguku, Buru-Buru, Putar Waktu, Bohongi Hati, Sial, and Pecahkan Hatiku.
She is only 23 years old and has been active in singing since she was still a kid. She comes from Denpasar, Bali, and became well-known after participating in a popular competition in Indonesia, Indonesian Idol, season 10. Although Mahalini only made it to the top 5 contestants, her name is quite popular. Her popularity is equal to the other top 3 contestants, Lyodra, Tiara Andini, and Ziva Magnolya.
She was also the main person writing the lyrics of every song she performed, each of which had its own story. That’s how her debut album, ‘fábula,’ was born. Fábula (fab·u·la) comes from Spanish, meaning fable, tale, story in English.
Experiencing #MahaliniIsYoursKL Day 1
Before I could go in to see Mahalini, I was required to redeem the ticket I bought for a wristband. One entry only per ticket. The organizer checked my ID and ticket, and I was ready to enjoy the concert! The beginning could have been better due to the messy lateness of the door opening. Despite that, thank goodness I managed to get inside early.
Rel-Event Alive Malaysia is the one who’s organizing the concert, and Zepp Kuala Lumpur is the location. Initially, the concert date was set for only one day, January 28. However, due to the overwhelming response, the organizer decided to add one more day on January 29.
The opening of the concert started with the performance of Leaism and Aisha Retno. They both successfully entertain Mahalini’s fans, who can’t wait to watch her performance!
fábula: The life story of Mahalini
Mahalini gave her 100% effort for her first album debut concert, which was not in vain. She’s beautiful, yet she’s excellent at singing too! Not to mention she’s also studying dentistry at university. Beauty with a brain, indeed. The songs she wrote are also one of the ways she expresses all her thoughts, whether sad or happy.
During the concert, Mahalini also had time to highlight her Malay speaking skills. She seems eloquent and excited!
Mahalini also had time to make a video call to Rizky Febian because she wanted Rizky to express his gratitude to the fans in Malaysia for listening to their duet song, Satu Tuju.
Throughout the concert, Mahalini sang 14 songs, including her duet songs with Nuca (a friend from Indonesian Idol season 10) and Rizky Febian (her boyfriend). At the same time, she also brought a popular single from Andmesh with a pop arrangement.
