Get to know Radar, the largest eraser in the world?

Seed, a known eraser manufacturer in Japan, was built at the beginning of the 20th century, which is in 1915. Radar, one of Seed’s oldest products, became the choice of the Japanese when it was released in 1968. However, the price was quite pricey, around 20-50 yen (RM 0.66-RM1.66). Nevertheless, the price of a normal eraser at that time would be only 10 yen (RM 0.33).

However, its premium quality, comparable to the price offered, makes it easier to sell out until now. Radar’s production increases with various sizes and shapes to meet buyers’ needs. It includes an enormous 2.285 kg block that costs 13,200 yen (around RM438.56).

Origin of the giant eraser manufacturing

Seed started releasing Radar S-10000 as a one-off prize for the company’s annual ‘Eraser Quick Eraser Contest.’ With the way Seed made the giant eraser a reward, fans received it well. Due to that, S-10000 Radar is commercialized in the stationery market. Making this giant eraser block is a big challenge in heating the material in such a thick layer. However, Seed made it happen! At the same time, Seed promises the quality of the S-10000 radar as efficiently as smaller Radar products.

Radar S-10000 went viral in Japan after someone uploaded a picture of it on Twitter and became the talk of the town. Due to that, Seed feels grateful for the increased awareness about the product.

If you want this 2.2 kg eraser, it’s available online with a recommended price of 13,200 yen (RM436.56). Do you dare to buy it as part of the collection?

A Youtuber, Seikin TV, also did not miss the opportunity to buy and enjoy the experience of having a giant eraser and share his experience.
