Paris Baguette Bakery Café Opens Its First Store In Malaysia

Famous bakery café, South Korea’s Paris Baguette has opened its first store in Malaysia at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, making it the fifth market in the region through a partnership with Berjaya Food Berhad and Paris Baguette Singapore PLC.

The iconic brand hosted its first store grand opening event with guests of honor in attendance, Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub, Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, His Excellency Mr. Yeo Seung-bae, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Malaysia and Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Vincent Tan, Chairman, Berjaya Corporation Berhad.

“We are thrilled with the grand opening of the Paris Baguette store in Malaysia and to be the principal operator of the brand locally. We are also honored to be given the opportunity to bring the unparalleled world-famous offerings from Paris Baguette to the Malaysian market. With the opening of the first store, Malaysians can anticipate more stores to be opened in cities across the country,” said Dato’ Sydney, Group Chief Executive Officer of Berjaya Food Berhad.

The new store will further contribute to the expanding influence of Paris Baguette across the region, showcasing its distinctive urban concept bakery café of contrasting palettes of blues, soft white textures, and dark accents.

The origins of Paris Baguette were formed in 1945, in the heart of a small bakery in South Korea named Sangmidang. “We are pleased to partner with Berjaya Food to bring the café to Malaysians. Together with Berjaya Food, we aim to serve the best quality products like my favorite strawberry yogurt cake and Korean jumbo crispy twist donuts, coupled with the best-in-class service, and deliver happiness in every bite to our customers. This partnership allows us to further increase our presence in the Southeast Asia market”, said Ms. Hana Lee, CEO of Paris Baguette, Southeast Asia.
