Here are the movies you can put on your list:

1) To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before

Picture: Vanity Fair
  • Movies adapted from novels are always the best!
  • This movie is based on a novel with the same title, written by Jenny Han.
  • The two main leads of the movie are Lana Condor and Noah Centineo.
  • Synopsis: Lara Jean (Noah Lana) writes secret love letters to her five crushes, but she never meant to send them. But, the letters are out now and are bringing her life into chaos!

2) Scoot Pilgrim vs. The World

Picture: NPR
  • This gem is based on a series of graphic novels!
  • Starring Michael Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, the movie is not solely a romantic movie, but also a fantasy-comedy.
  • It also has won several big awards, like the Satellite Awards.
  • Synopsis: Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera) is a bass guitarist. When he meets Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), he instantly falls in love with her. However, he must deal with seven of Ramona’s exes to get her attention.

3) Tune In For Love

Picture: Pinkvilla
  • A Korean romantic melodrama starring Kim Go Eun (you might know her from the drama Goblin or Guardian: The Lonely and Great God). The movie also stars Jung Hae-in.
  • Even though it is a romantic movie, some parts are just so heartbreaking. Thus, do not forget to have a box of tissues with you!
  • Synopsis: Mi Soo (Kim go Eun) and Hyun Woo (Jung Hae-in) first met each other at the bakery which Mi Soo owns. They keep crossing each other’s paths even after years of not meeting each other. Nevertheless, the timing never seems to work for them.

4) 20th Century Girl

Picture: Yahoo News
  • Another Korean romantic movie starring Kim Yoo-jung and Byeon Woo-seok.
  • From my two cents, this movie is suitable for youngsters as it revolves around high schoolers.
  • But, you can still watch it to feel the emotion of the youngsters, right?
  • Synopsis: Na Bo-ra (Kim Yoo-Jung) is helping out her sick best friend with her love life. However, she must choose between love and relationship, as she accidentally in love with the same boy as her best friend.

5) Us and Them

  • Us and Them is a Chinese Romantic movie.
  • It stars Zhou Dongyu and Boran Jin.
  • Best described as a ‘right person, at the wrong time’ kind of movie.
  • Synopsis: A girl and a boy meet on a train. Later, they form a close bond, and love evolves between them. However, they separate ways after years and reflect their love for each other.

All of these movies are on Netflix!
