Siti Nurhaliza Trends On Twitter, A True Indication She’s Still Malaysia’s No. 1 Favourite Singer

Dato’ Seri Siti Nurhaliza is a sweetheart. She has been loved by many Malaysians since she began singing in 1995. Known for her merdu voice, no one can ever come close to this legendary singer. Even though there are many talented Malaysian vocalists, Dato’ Siti just hits differently. It might be because she’s not only talented but also kind, humble and beautiful. She has the whole package. No wonder many look up to Tokti.

She serenaded us with many hits that can’t be counted with our 10 fingers. There are just too many great songs sung by Tokti. We’ve lost count! But our favourite has to be Jerat Percintaan, who won the 11th Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL). Aside from her heavenly vocals, another sensational singer, Anuar Zain, made a cameo on the AJL stage too!

Many people grew up listening to her songs. And especially once Hari Raya approaches, songs like Nazam Lebaran, Sesuci Lebaran and Airmata Syawal will repeatedly play on many radio stations. We can safely say Dato’ Siti’s popularity among the locals equals BTS’ popularity.

Furthermore, Tokti’s popularity and relevance can’t be challenged. Can you imagine? She will win almost every category in an award show! Recently, she also collected her 42nd Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM). AIM is another version of the US GRAMMYs. Wow. Isn’t she a superstar?

It’s not weird if her name enters the trending list on Twitter. But we wonder what Malaysians are talking about on the bird app.

Almost everyone is doing this ‘challenge’. It is, “Quote this with 10 artists you consider your favourites, no particular order.” Guess what? Almost every Malaysian has ‘Siti Nurhaliza’ on her list!

We aren’t surprised. Dato’ Seri Siti Nurhaliza is a queen for many reasons!
