Aquaria KLCC Brings The New Fantastic Atmosphere of Aidilfitri, Through Folklore Creatures; Mermaid

When it comes to Aidilfitri, the epiphany of forgiveness comes to mind; it is a season of forgiveness and allows a “fresh start” from our past wrongdoings. In conjunction with this year’s Raya celebration, Aquaria KLCC is sharing Eid, a fun, cheerful and Fintastic celebration with customers.

The Fintasticnya Raya @ Aquaria KLCC Media Preview event was attended by the Group Managing Director of Aquaria KLCC, Dato’ Simon Foong, representatives from the Department of Fisheries, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (Convex), and members of the media.

During this Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Aquaria KLCC will feature two big performances, mermaid shows and the traditional Raya- theme dance, and other complementary activities and showcases. These activities will be happening during the two weeks of the Fintasticnya Raya @ Aquaria KLCC celebration from 17^th April to 2^nd May 2023.

Aidilfitri is all about being happy and the evolution of the stereotype is what we envision to offer our visitors. “The mermaid shows have always been a high demand and featuring it in Aquaria KLCC this Raya could be a huge hit for everyone! Afterall, customer experience is what we emphasize and prioritize here at Aquaria KLCC,” said Dato’ Simon Foong during his opening statement.

The mermaid showcase, performed by The Mermaid Mission of the Dolphin Lee Aquatic Group, was complemented by a group of traditional dancers from Arts Talent Production at the Aquatheatre. The two performing groups successfully created a fantastic “raya dance” that was in synchrony with the most popular Raya songs. The Media Preview ended with a “berbuka puasa” session for attending guests.

During the five days before Eid, Aquaria KLCC will be conducting a special quiz this week, to exercise the exhausted mind of the people who are fasting in the nearing of Syawal. The quiz intends to attract more visitors, and lovely prizes are waiting to identify those who know the best about the most famous oceanarium in Malaysia, Aquaria KLCC; followed by the first day of Eid, a 10% discount is offered to any walk-in customers who don their baju Raya. Aquaria KLCC will also be giving out Raya cookies to visitors throughout the duration of the Fintasticnya Raya second phase celebration from 22^nd April 2023 til 2^nd May 2023., visitors can enjoy other showcases, such as the underwater activities like the mermaid show, feeding time show with baju raya, Otter Eats The Ketupat, as well as traditional Raya-themed dance performances.

In addition, we have a new exhibit, featuring meerkats, next to the otter den. This special mammal is flown from South Africa and just landed in Aquaria KLCC today. Everyone is welcome to bring friends and families to Aquaria KLCC and to spend quality time here at the aquarium celebrating Fintasticnya Raya @ Aquaria KLCC.
