Malaysia’s 1st Largest HAIKYU!! POPUP Store Exclusively in 1 Utama Shopping Centre!

Fans of the globally beloved Japanese volleyball anime and manga series Haikyu!! by Haruichi Furudate are in for a fever of excitement as 1 Utama Shopping Centre unveils its very 1st largest Haikyu!! Pop-Up Store in Malaysia available from 16 April to 4 May. In partnership with Medialink Group (2230.HK), bringing the fans closer than ever to their favourite anime characters from the series!

Fans can celebrate their excitement here with their favourite characters and exclusive merch. This highly anticipated Haikyu!! Pop-Up Store promises to deliver an indulging experience that will immerse visitors in the world of Haikyu!! from the moment they step in the Pop-Up Store. Fans can shop a wide range of series-inspired merchandise, including 1 Utama-exclusive merchandise, ranging from t-shirts, badges, coasters, phone straps, hoodies, pillows, and more which the Malaysia fans can be the first ones to get their hands on them.

Spanning over 2,000sqft, fans at the Pop-Up Store will find themselves surrounded by the familiar faces from the anime series and be greeted by life-size standees of the iconic characters Shoyo Hinata, Tobio Kageyama, Kei Tsukishima, and Tadashi Yamaguchi at the entrance, welcoming fans into the world of ‘Haikyu!!’.

Pop-Up Store Highlight:

  • Series Inspired Merchandise: Featuring a wide array of series-inspired items, including apparel, accessories, merchandise, and more that capture the spirit and energy of the Haikyu!! series.
  • 1 Utama Limited-Edition Merchandise: The store will also feature 1 Utama-exclusive merchandise as well as limited edition collectibles only in Malaysia.
  • 1 Utama Limited-Edition Gachapon: Redeem a token with a min. spend of RM100 to play the ‘Haikyu!!’ gachapon, and bring home the limited-edition characters photo card.
  • Haikyu!! Themed Photo Zone: Visitors can experience iconic scenes from the anime through captivating visuals and anime character standees, such as a full-size Volleyball court, allowing fans to feel like they’re part of the game.

Haikyu!! Introduction

The popular manga “Haikyu!!”, which began serialization in 2012, is a work that depicts the youth of high school students who love volleyball, its delicate portrayal of character and emotions have made it a masterpiece that has many viewers moved to tears! The manga came to an end in July 2020 after eight and a half years of serialization, and the total number of copies of all 45 volumes published has exceeded 70 million.
