Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock Relaunches with Malaysia Book of Records Feat, New Halal Certification & Merdeka Flavours

Malaysia’s beloved kopitiam, Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock (AMAH), has entered the history books with a Malaysia Book of Records title for “Most Nasi Lemak Plates Sold in Malaysia”, chalking up an incredible 452,162 plates sold nationwide.

The achievement was revealed during the brand’s official relaunch at its Petaling Street outlet, in conjunction with Merdeka month. The event was officiated by YB Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali, Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, who lauded the brand’s unique approach in celebrating Malaysia’s food heritage while strengthening its business identity.

Adding to the celebrations, AMAH also announced its official Halal certification, paving the way to welcome even more Malaysians from all walks of life. “Food has always been a way of uniting Malaysians. Every bite is a reminder of home, pride, and unity,” said T.H. Law, CEO of Nasi Lemak Gempak Sdn Bhd, the company behind the brand.

To mark the milestone, AMAH is offering a special Merdeka promotion, RM6.80 nasi lemak plates from 31 August to 16 September. The relaunch also introduced a fresh brand slogan, Rasa Kita, Bangga Kita”, The flavour we share, the pride we carry,” encapsulating the kopitiam’s spirit of unity and inclusivity.

With 18 outlets across the Klang Valley and nationwide expansion on the horizon, AMAH is not slowing down. Its refreshed direction focuses on authenticity, customer experience, sustainability, and inclusivity while preserving the familiar kampung-meets-city charm that Malaysians love.

Guests at the relaunch were treated to a lively muhibbah drum and lion dance performance, celebrating Malaysia’s multicultural spirit. Looking forward, AMAH plans to explore digital platforms and collaborations to bring its signature flavours and soulful dining experience to even more Malaysians.
