Most of us grew up with Ayam Brand™ tins in the kitchen, sardines, baked beans, tuna. But this time, the brand is taking it out of the can and into real life.
Through its #AyamBersamaMu CSR program, Ayam Brand™ teamed up with Sunway XFarms to give 60 underprivileged kids a crash course on healthy eating, farming, and why “Suku Suku Separuh” isn’t just a Ministry of Health slogan.
And it wasn’t your average boring health talk. Picture this: kids learning how to grow veggies hydroponically using recycled Ayam Brand™ tins, touring futuristic greenhouses at Sunway XFarms, and ending the day with a “Farm-to-Fork” lunch, meals cooked with Ayam Brand™ products plus freshly harvested greens. Basically, the kind of field trip you wish you had instead of another trip to the zoo.
The idea? Make nutrition fun, hands-on, and something kids can carry with them for life.
“For us, nutrition and education go hand in hand. With #AyamBersamaMu, we want kids to understand why eating healthy matters while also helping the community access essential food,” said Teoh Wei Ling, Head of Marketing at Ayam Brand™.
Sunway XFarms’ CEO, Afdhal Nayan, echoed that vibe:
“This collaboration shows how powerful it can be when we combine healthy eating with sustainable farming. We want kids to be inspired through real experiences, while communities get access to nutritious food.”
And it’s not just about one fun day out. Ayam Brand™ also partnered with NGO Food Aid Foundation to roll out nutritious food aid to more than 1,000 people across the state.
So yes, Ayam Brand™ is still the same household name we all know, but now with a mission that goes beyond filling pantries. They’re out here shaping the next generation to think about food differently: less instant noodles, more balance.
TL;DR: Ayam Brand™ is proving that healthy eating doesn’t have to be boring, and that kids can learn just as much in a greenhouse as they can in a classroom.
