Pavilion Bukit Jalil Rings in the Year of the Horse with Joyful Prosperity and Togetherness

Pavilion Bukit Jalil is welcoming the Year of the Horse with JOYFUL PROSPERITY Together, Here. The month-long Chinese New Year celebration runs until 24 February 2026.

The campaign celebrates reunion, blessings, and fresh beginnings. It transforms the mall into a festive space filled with colour, culture, and joy. It invites families and friends to gather, reconnect, and celebrate the season together.

Yang Berhormat Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang, Minister of National Unity Malaysia, officially launched the celebration at Pavilion Bukit Jalil. Dato’ Philip Ho, Chief Executive Officer of Pavilion REIT Management Sdn. Bhd., joined him.
Also present was Mr. Md. Gharif Talib, Head of Cards at Maybank Berhad.

The launch highlighted Pavilion Bukit Jalil’s growing role as a lifestyle destination. It is a place where cultural moments, community gatherings and retail experiences naturally come together.

“This year, we wanted to celebrate Chinese New Year in a way that feels fresh, immersive and exciting from the moment visitors arrive,” said Dato’ Joyce Yap, Chief Executive Officer of Retail at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur Sdn. Bhd.

“From the festive décor to the curated performances and activities, JOYFUL PROSPERITY Together, Here. is designed to surprise and delight while still honouring the traditions families look forward to every year.”

Festive Highlights, Performances and Reward for Everyone

One of the standouts highlights this season is Leap into Luck by XiaoMa & MaBao, a unique robotic performance. It also makes Pavilion Bukit Jalil the first mall in Malaysia to introduce this experience.

Visitors can enjoy Malaysia’s first robot performance by XiaoMa and MaBao throughout Pavilion Bukit Jalil’s Chinese New Year celebration, alongside vibrant lion dances and cultural showcases that bring the festive spirit to life.

Inspired by the Year of the Horse, XiaoMa represents energy, perseverance and positive beginnings, while MaBao brings warmth and charm to every appearance. Together, they create joyful moments for visitors throughout the festive season. The performance takes place on 24 and 31 January, as well as 2 and 14 February 2026.

At Centre Court, the festive atmosphere comes alive with a striking visual display anchored by a 16-foot Golden Tree by Gold Art. The setting is further elevated by eight 6-foot horse installations. A 15-foot centrepiece horse completes the vibrant backdrop for the season.

Families can also enjoy carousel rides with a minimum spend, while Instagrammable spots throughout the area offer plenty of opportunities to capture festive memories.

“Chinese New Year at Pavilion Bukit Jalil is about coming together through traditions, family moments and shared joy,” Dato’ Joyce added.

“This celebration creates a welcoming space where the community can experience the warmth and excitement of the New Year.”

Throughout the season, Centre Court hosts a lively line-up of performances, including traditional and acrobatic lion dances, school showcases, musical performances and festive fashion shows. With something new happening each week, visitors are encouraged to return and experience the celebration from different perspectives.

Experience the Horse Ride and Exclusive Redemptions

Adding to the festive excitement, Pavilion Bukit Jalil presents the Horse Ride Experience at Level 3, PIAZZA, from 6 to 8 February 2026.

Open to adults and children aged nine and above, visitors can enjoy afternoon feeding sessions and photo opportunities. Complimentary horse rides are available with a minimum spend of RM300 in a single receipt, mall wide. The experience is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Shoppers can also look forward to exclusive Gift with Purchase redemptions throughout the campaign.
