Klook and Yayasan MR. D.I.Y. Distribute 500 Bubur Lambuk Packs and Household Aid to 30 Families

Klook and Yayasan MR. D.I.Y. joined forces to prepare and distribute 500 packs of bubur lambuk to residents of PPR Pinggiran Bukit Jalil.

They organised the initiative as part of a community effort during the festive month of Ramadan.

In addition, 30 families from the community received essential household support as part of the outreach initiative.

Volunteers from Klook worked alongside the Yayasan MR. D.I.Y. team during the initiative. The team led the early morning efforts. They embraced the spirit of gotong-royong to cook and pack the traditional porridge.

The freshly prepared meals were distributed to residents ahead of iftar, ensuring hundreds of families could enjoy a warm meal to break their fast.

The same families also received essential supplies and daily necessities contributed by Yayasan MR. D.I.Y.

The items included rice, flour, cooking oil and household cleaning products. These contributions aim to help ease financial pressures during the fasting month and ahead of the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.

“We believe that the most meaningful experiences happen when we show up for the communities around us. Recognising that Ramadan is a season of giving back, we are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Yayasan MR. D.I.Y. to deliver joy to the doorsteps of families who need it most and to play a small part in uplifting the local community,” said Sarah Wan, General Manager of Klook for Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

“Ramadan reminds us of our shared responsibility to give back. Collaborating with partners like Klook allows us to amplify our outreach efforts and ensure support reaches families directly. When organisations come together with a shared purpose, the impact on the community becomes even more significant,” said Dr Zaleha Mohd Mydin, Chief Executive Officer of Yayasan MR. D.I.Y.

This initiative reflects  Klook’s commitment to extending its impact beyond travel experiences by supporting local communities through meaningful, on-the-ground engagement.

Through partnerships, such as this with Yayasan MR. D.I.Y., Klook continues to reinforce its commitment to delivering joy where it matters most, and within the communities it serves.
