Nissan Unveils The New X-Trail E-Power X E-4orce At Klims 2026, Confirms Malaysia Launch In Q4 2026

KUALA LUMPUR, 11 June 2026 – Nissan today sets the stage for its next phase of electrified  mobility  in  ASEAN  with  the regional  debut  of  the  New  Nissan  X-Trail ePOWER x e-4ORCE at KLIMS 2026. The model is confirmed for launch in Malaysia in the fourth quarter of 2026, reinforcing Nissan’s commitment to bringing advanced, accessible electrification technologies to local customers.

“Malaysia plays an important role in Nissan’s growth in ASEAN, supported by our longstanding presence and strong local partnerships. The introduction of the New Nissan X-Trail e-POWER x e-4ORCE today marks an important step in expanding our electrified line-up and delivering greater value to Malaysian customers.” said Masao Tsutsumi, President, Nissan ASEAN & Nissan Thailand.

At the heart of Nissan’s electrification strategy is its unique e-POWER technology, delivering an electric driving experience without the need for external charging. Unlike conventional hybrids, e-POWER is 100% electric motor-driven, providing instant acceleration, smooth performance, and quiet operation, while a dedicated petrol engine is used solely to generate electricity to charge the battery. Now adopted across a growing range of segments including compact SUVs, MPVs and full-size SUVs; e-POWER reflects Nissan’s vision to make electrified mobility more practical, enjoyable, and accessible for everyday driving.

Presented by Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM), the New Nissan X-Trail ePOWER x e-4ORCE integrates Nissan’s advanced e-POWER electric-drive system with e4ORCE allwheel-control technology, delivering enhanced performance, stability and confidence across diverse driving conditions.

“Malaysia is one of the key markets in Nissan’s electrification journey, and we are excited to confirm that the New Nissan X-Trail e-POWER x e-4ORCE will be launched here in the fourth quarter of 2026.  At ETCM, we are honoured that Malaysia has been chosen as one of strategic launch markets for this new electrified SUV in the region.” said Christopher Tan, Executive Vice President, Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd. “This milestone marks another important step in our journey following the introduction of the Nissan KICKS ePOWER and the All-New Nissan Serena e-POWER. It also reflects strong confidence in Malaysia as a key market for the introduction of a new electrified premium SUV for Malaysian customers.” added Christopher Tan.

e-4ORCE: NISSAN’s Intelligent Electric All-Wheel Control Technology

The New Nissan X-Trail e-POWER x e-4ORCE introduces Nissan’s advanced electric allwheel-control technology designed to deliver enhanced confidence, comfort, and precision.  Working seamlessly with e-POWER x e-4ORCE, the system provides real-time torque and braking control at all four wheels individually, optimising traction, stability, and ride comfort across varying road and weather conditions. By independently managing front and rear motor output, e-4ORCE ensures responsive handling, smoother deceleration, and confident acceleration even on challenging surfaces.

Unlike traditional all-wheel-drive (AWD) systems that rely on a single engine to distribute power to the front and rear wheels through mechanical components, delays in power delivery can affect responsiveness and overall vehicle handling precision. Nissan e4ORCE addresses this limitation by utilising dual electric motors to control front and rear torque with high precision and rapid response.

Expanding Nissan’s Electrified Portfolio

At KLIMS 2026, the New X-Trail e-POWER x e-4ORCE is showcased alongside the MPV of the Year 2026 – All-New Nissan Serena e-POWER, which is locally assembled in Malaysia, and Vehicle of the Year 2025 – Nissan KICKS e-POWER; reinforcing Nissan’s expanding electrified line-up in Malaysia.

Together, these models highlight Nissan’s strategy of delivering accessible electrified mobility across multiple segments, catering to diverse customer needs from family versatility to urban efficiency – all powered by its signature innovative Nissan e-POWER technology.

Immersive Manga-Inspired “Nissan Crossing Ginza” Experience at KLIMS 2026

Nissan’s booth at KLIMS 2026 is brought to life through a distinctive manga-inspired street view of “Nissan Crossing Ginza”, transforming the display space into an immersive expression by blending Japanese creativity with the brand’s electrification vision. The immersive showcase invites visitors to explore the convergence of design, culture, and advanced mobility in an engaging environment and a fresh format.
