The session was also joined by YBhg. Dato’ Seri Mohd Sayuthi bin Bakar, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) and YBhg. Datuk Azman Bin Adam, Director General of Enforcement of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN).
The initiative forms part of the Government’s commitment to ensuring that the targeted diesel subsidy programme is delivered smoothly and effectively, in line with the actual operational needs of eligible Malaysians.
During his visit, the Minister oversaw on-ground operations, including the CaltexGO app, Outdoor Payment Terminal (OPT) verification system and payment processes, and the end-to-end fuel subsidy flow. He also engaged with members of the public to gather firsthand feedback on their experience with the BUDI Diesel system and subsidised diesel.
“Today’s visit provides assurance that the BUDI Diesel initiative is being implemented effectively on the ground. We observed that members of the public are able to refuel smoothly and station operations are functioning as intended with no technical issues reported to date,” shared YB Senator Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, Minister of Finance II, Ministry of Finance of Malaysia.
“With 90 years of presence in Malaysia, Caltex has long been committed to serving communities and supporting national priorities. We are proud to be part of the BUDI Diesel rollout and to have all our stations including this Presint 8 station ready for deployment from day one, delivering a smooth and reliable experience for eligible customers. This is our dedication to Drive Happiness Further through a seamless CaltexGO app experience for all our customers by working hand-in-hand with the government to ensure our service stations continue to meet the communities’ needs,” Mr. Leong Jee Wong, Country Chairman of Caltex Malaysia.
Effective 1 July 2026, BUDI Diesel allows eligible Malaysian citizens with diesel vehicles to access subsidised diesel at RM2.10 per litre through MyKad verification. The programme provides a monthly allocation of up to 200 litres, which is shared with subsidised RON95 petrol under the existing BUDI95 scheme, offering greater flexibility in managing monthly fuel needs.
Customers are encouraged to utilise the CaltexGO app, which enables eligible Malaysians to seamlessly access BUDI MADANI privileges, from checking eligibility and monitoring quota balances to purchasing subsidised fuel, all within a single platform. Through the app, customers can earn and redeem Caltex Rewards points for fuel, purchases and a wide range of rewards within the same transaction. To further enhance convenience, Caltex Malaysia has made available mobile OPT support at stations to facilitate the refuelling process for customers.
