Simple Moments, Big Rewards: Malaysians Win with Shell’s water2go Campaign

KUALA LUMPUR, 10 July 2026 — Shell Malaysia celebrated the winners of its nationwide ‘Shell Select Ganjaran water2go Berjuta’ campaign, marking a key milestone in its 135th anniversary celebrations by turning everyday moments into rewarding experiences for Malaysians.

Launched as part of Shell’s ‘Made for More’ campaign, the water2go contest invited customers across the country to take part in a simple “open and win” experience. With every bottle purchased, customers had the chance to unlock or win cash prizes, transforming routine stops into moments of excitement and anticipation. The campaign featured multiple tiers of cash prizes, including a monthly grand prize of RM135,000, monthly prizes of RM13,500 for 12 winners, as well as weekly rewards of RM1,350 for 50 winners and RM135 for 200 winners.

Over the course of the campaign, Malaysians from all walks of life participated, demonstrating the strong appeal of simple, accessible rewards that enhance everyday journeys. Among the winners were individuals whose stories reflect the many ways a simple purchase can make a meaningful difference.

Turning Everyday Moments into Meaningful Rewards

While each winner’s journey was unique, all shared one thing in common: a simple decision to participate led to an unexpected opportunity to support their goals, families, and future aspirations.

Leading the campaign’s winner stories was Saiful Adli, 46, from Kuantan, the campaign’s first RM135,000 grand prize winner. What began as a simple family stop at a Shell station soon turned into an unforgettable moment for him and his family.

“I’ve always been a loyal Shell customer, and it was actually my children who encouraged me to join the contest when we stopped at a Shell station in Temerloh. We decided to give it a try and didn’t think much of it afterwards. When I found out I had won the RM135,000 grand prize, I was shaking. What made it even more unbelievable was that I had misplaced the bottle cap and thought my chances were gone. It felt like rezeki when I learned I had still won. This prize comes at the perfect time for our family. My eldest daughter will soon be entering matriculation and hopes to pursue a career in law. Being able to support her education and help her chase that dream means everything to us.”

For others, the winning moment came during the course of everyday routines. Among the campaign’s youngest winners was Azib Srahman, 19, a student in Selangor who balances his studies with part-time e-hailing work.

“I was out doing food deliveries on a particularly hot day and stopped by Shell Select to grab a drink. I noticed the water2go contest on a poster, bought a bottle, and decided to give it a try. When I received the call, I honestly thought it might be a scam at first. After checking the website and confirming it was real, I was overjoyed. As a student, I work part time as an e-hailing rider to support myself and save up for a new phone. Winning this prize brings me one step closer to that goal and will help me better manage both my studies and work. I never expected that such a simple stop would turn into such an unexpected reward.”

The campaign’s second RM135,000 grand prize winner, Tan Li Wei, 38, an office administrator from Penang, shared how a spontaneous decision to participate led to an unexpected reward for her family.

“I was on my way to send my child to tuition when we made a quick stop at Shell because he was feeling thirsty. While we were there, I noticed the contest poster and decided to participate. It was a spontaneous decision, and I never imagined it would lead to such wonderful news. Winning was a complete surprise. My children have always dreamed of travelling by plane, so I’m hoping to take them to Langkawi during the school holidays and create special memories together as a family. At the same time, I hope to set aside part of the prize to support welfare homes and charitable organisations in Penang, as I believe blessings are meant to be shared. This win means a lot to me, and I’m truly grateful for this unexpected blessing.”

Reinforcing Everyday Value

Seow Lee Ming, General Manager of Shell Mobility & Convenience Malaysia, said the campaign reflects Shell’s continued focus on enhancing everyday experiences for customers.

“water2go is one of the simplest and most familiar products for our customers, something many pick up as part of their daily routines. With this campaign, we wanted to show how even the smallest moments can become something more rewarding. Seeing Malaysians from across the country take part, and celebrating our winners, reminds us of the importance of staying connected to our customers’ everyday journeys. It is these moments that define how we continue to evolve and deliver value in meaningful ways.”

Continuing the Journey

The water2go campaign forms part of Shell Malaysia’s broader efforts to celebrate 135 years of growing together with Malaysians, while reinforcing its commitment to delivering greater value, convenience, and rewarding experiences.

As customer expectations continue to evolve, Shell remains focused on creating more opportunities to enhance everyday journeys across its network, ensuring that every stop offers something more.
