A Taste of Taiwan in KL, Rasa Taiwan 3.0 Returns with Food, Design and Culture

What if you could experience Taiwan without ever leaving Kuala Lumpur?

From 28 to 31 August 2026, Taiwan Taste Lab returns to eslite spectrum Kuala Lumpur, bringing together eight renowned Taiwanese brands, immersive cultural experiences and exclusive culinary collaborations that invite visitors to explore the flavours, creativity and everyday lifestyle of Taiwan.

Organised by Taiwan’s Administration of Commerce, Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), implemented by the China Productivity Center (CPC) and held in collaboration with eslite spectrum Kuala Lumpur, the third edition of Taiwan Taste Lab goes beyond the concept of a conventional product showcase.

This year, visitors can explore Taiwan through the interactive Taiwan Brand Discovery, enjoy an exclusive Taiwan-Malaysia afternoon tea experience, try a limited-edition chef collaboration menu at eslite Dining Table, and join creative sharing sessions between designers from Taiwan and Malaysia, all under one event.

A Different Experience Every Day

Unlike a conventional exhibition, Taiwan Taste Lab offers four distinct themed experiences across four days.

Friday, 28 August, 11am | Media Launch

Meet the people behind some of Taiwan’s most exciting lifestyle brands as founders and brand representatives share how local ingredients, craftsmanship and culture have shaped products that have gained recognition both in Taiwan and abroad.

Saturday, 29 August, 2pm | Taiwan Meets Malaysia Over Afternoon Tea

Featuring brands such as jammm, Chosen Tea, Chyuan Fa Honey, Milk17, Pineapple Hill and UNCLE BEING Grilled Corn, this experience explores how Taiwanese ingredients can inspire fresh interpretations of afternoon tea through local ingredient pairings and creative collaborations.

Sunday, 30 August, 1pm | Eight Taiwanese Brands. One Exclusive Menu.

eslite Dining Table presents a special chef collaboration created by a Malaysian private chef using products from all eight participating Taiwanese brands.

From beverages and appetisers to main courses and dessert, this special menu presents a fresh interpretation of Taiwanese ingredients through Malaysian culinary creativity, offering a unique cross-cultural dining experience.

Monday, 31 August, 2pm | Can Culture Become a Souvenir?

In conjunction with Malaysia’s National Day, Taiwanese lifestyle brand LAI HAO will join forces with a Malaysian creative brand for a discussion on how local memories, heritage and everyday culture can be translated into meaningful design.

Through selected design examples from Taiwan and Malaysia, the session explores how souvenirs can become much more than keepsakes, serving as a medium for preserving the stories and identities of a city.

Eight Brands, Eight Ways to Experience Taiwan

This year’s line-up spans food, beverages, lifestyle design and natural wellness, showcasing the diversity of modern Taiwanese brands.

Featured brands include:

  • Pineapple Hill : An iconic Taiwanese pineapple cake brand known for transforming locally grown pineapples into premium gifts through sustainable farming practices and thoughtful design.
  • Chosen Tea : A modern tea brand introducing Taiwanese tea to a new generation, featuring its popular Cat Blessing Tea collection as well as award-winning Taiwanese teas.
  • LAI HAO Taiwan Gift Shop : Established in 2014, the brand works with more than 100 Taiwanese designers and brands to bring Taiwan’s creative culture into everyday life.
  • jammm : A Gold Medal winner at the World Marmalade Awards in 2025 and 2026, bringing Taiwan’s premium citrus produce to the global stage.
  • UNCLE BEING Grilled Corn :  One of Taiwan’s popular night market brands, known for its charcoal-grilled corn and signature sauce.
  • Mom’s Dry Noodles : Originating from Guanmiao, Tainan, the noodles are made using a traditional eight-hour sun-drying method. Winner of World’s Best Instant Noodles 2023.
  • Chyuan Fa Honey : A honey brand with more than 100 years of heritage, also offering HALAL-certified forest honey for the Malaysian market.
  • Milk17 : A 30-year-old bakery brand from Kaohsiung, known for its signature milk sticks made using Taiwanese ingredients.

A Different Way to Explore Taiwan

Rather than simply visiting booths, visitors are encouraged to pick up a Taiwan Brand Guide and explore the eight selected Taiwanese brands through tasting sessions, storytelling and interactive experiences.

After visiting all eight brands, visitors can personalise a limited-edition tote bag using exclusive Taiwan-inspired heat-transfer stickers, creating a souvenir to take home.

A New Chapter for Rasa Taiwan

Now entering its third edition, Taiwan Taste Lab continues to evolve beyond a platform for introducing brands into an immersive cultural experience.

By combining interactive activities, cross-cultural collaborations, culinary experiences and storytelling, the event offers Malaysians a fresh perspective on contemporary Taiwan, one that goes beyond tourism and provides a closer look at the everyday lives and culture of its people.
