Mooncake gifting just got a design upgrade.
Malaysia’s first Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur is celebrating its inaugural Mid-Autumn Festival with the launch of Celestial Duality 星月之境, a limited-edition mooncake collection that swaps traditional packaging for something a little more unexpected a sleek briefcase-inspired keepsake designed to be displayed long after the mooncakes are gone.
Inspired by the moon itself, the gift case features two contrasting halves that come together as one. One side mimics the moon’s rugged, cratered surface, while the other flows with soft, curved lines that reflect moonlight across the night sky. Together, they symbolise reunion—the heart of every Mid-Autumn celebration.
The concept also carries through to what’s inside.
Rather than stopping at handcrafted mooncakes, Kimpton pairs the collection with coffee from two local roasters, turning the gift into something you can continue enjoying even after the festival.
Inside the RM248 nett gift set, you’ll find:
- Four handcrafted baked mooncakes
- Four coffee capsules from Curate Coffee
- Four drip coffee bags from Ghostbird Coffee
The mooncake flavours include timeless favourites like Classic Red Bean and White Lotus with Single Yolk, alongside more contemporary picks such as Golden Starlight (lotus seed paste, mung bean and pandan) and Momoyama Black Tea with Mung Bean.
According to General Manager Paul Cunningham, the collection celebrates how people reconnect despite taking different paths throughout the year.
“Every fold of the case and every flavour inside was created with one thing in mind: giving our guests a beautiful reason to gather this season.”
Guests who order before 31 August 2026 can enjoy 15% Early Bird savings.
The collection will be available for self-collection from 21 August, while delivery is offered for corporate and bulk purchases of 20 boxes or more, with complimentary delivery available depending on order quantity and location.
Whether you’re buying for family, friends or clients, this is one mooncake gift set that feels just as much like a keepsake as it does a festive treat.
