Sunway Pyramid was filled with excitement as an estimated 8,000 fans, shoppers and invited guests gathered to welcome SEVENTEEN members DK, SEUNGKWAN and DINO during the official opening of Skechers’ newly relocated and expanded Superstore.
The event marked several milestones for Skechers, including the opening of its first Superstore in Subang Jaya and the trio’s first official public appearance since being appointed Skechers Regional Brand Ambassadors.
Located at LG1.129 in Sunway Pyramid, the new store spans approximately 8,650 square feet, nearly six times larger than its previous 1,453-square-foot location in the mall.
The expanded space brings together Skechers’ lifestyle and performance offerings, with dedicated sections for Walking, Running, Pickleball, Trail, Kids and Performance Apparel.
Shoppers can also experience new interactive features, including SafeSize foot-scanning technology for personalised fit recommendations and a DIY Customisation Corner where selected footwear and apparel can be personalised with charms, shoelaces and heat-pressed graphics.
DK, SEUNGKWAN and DINO Meet Malaysian Fans
A major highlight of the celebration was the appearance of DK, SEUNGKWAN and DINO, who toured the newly expanded store before meeting fans at Sunway Pyramid’s iconic ice rink.
An estimated 8,000 fans gathered for the event, while 200 lucky winners were given the opportunity to attend an exclusive Meet & Greet with the trio. An additional 250 consolation winners were also selected following overwhelming response from Skechers members and fans.
“We’ve been looking forward to meeting our Malaysian fans for a long time. Being here as Skechers Regional Brand Ambassadors and seeing all of your big smiles and hearing your loud cheers really touches my heart,” DK said.
SEUNGKWAN described Skechers as being “like family” to the group, while DINO expressed his gratitude at marking their first official appearance at the newly expanded Sunway Pyramid Superstore.
Fashion, Parkour and a Special Campaign Showcase
The celebration also featured a parkour performance by local talents before models took to the stage to showcase Skechers’ Fall Winter 2026 Apparel and Shoes Collection.
Fans were also treated to the exclusive limited-edition SKECHERS | SEVENTEEN’s DK, SEUNGKWAN and DINO Apparel Collection, as well as games and a live Q&A session with the three ambassadors.
Adding to the excitement, Skechers showcased its latest regional campaign video featuring the trio on the big screen. During the segment, DINO recreated some of his signature dance moves from the campaign, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.
The event concluded with a special token of appreciation for the three SEVENTEEN members. Each received a customised pair of Skechers Court Classics Hotshot shoes designed in collaboration with Malaysian artist Jayklo, incorporating elements inspired by each member’s apparel collection artwork.
According to Skechers, Malaysia remains an important growth market for the company. The brand currently has 120 stores nationwide, with plans to open more locations in the coming months.
For Malaysian CARATs, however, the opening offered something beyond a new shopping destination, it became a memorable opportunity to see DK, SEUNGKWAN and DINO up close as they celebrated a new chapter with Skechers in Malaysia.
