Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S12 Series puts AI, performance and creativity on a bigger screen.
Samsung is giving its tablet lineup a serious upgrade with the new Galaxy Tab S12 Series, comprising the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Tab S12+. Designed for everything from work and learning to creative projects, the new tablets combine powerful hardware, Galaxy AI and a slim, portable design.
At just 5.1mm, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is Samsung’s thinnest Galaxy Tab yet. Both models are built for extended use, with battery life of up to 23 hours on the Ultra and 21 hours on the Tab S12+. They can also charge from 0% to 100% in around 95 minutes with a 45W adapter.
Under the hood, a 3nm processor delivers up to 61% faster NPU processing, 19% faster CPU performance and 17% improved GPU power compared with the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. A new 3D Vapor Chamber helps manage heat during demanding tasks, while IP68-rated water and dust resistance adds extra durability.
The display is another highlight. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra features a 14.6-inch screen, while the Tab S12+ comes with a 12.6-inch display and slimmer bezels. Both use Dynamic AMOLED 2X panels with up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness, alongside an upgraded Vision Booster that adjusts brightness in real time according to surrounding light. 4-channel spatial audio rounds out the multimedia experience.
AI Meets Everyday Productivity
The tablets run Android 17 with One UI 9 and the latest Galaxy AI, bringing tools for research, note-taking and creation together on one device.
With Multi Window, users can split the display into up to three sections — for instance, watching a lecture, taking notes in Samsung Notes and using an AI assistant at the same time. The included S Pen also makes it easy to annotate documents, sketch ideas and jot down notes, while Note Assist can summarize them.
Users also get a six-month trial of Google AI Pro, including access to Gemini and Gemini Notebook. The latter can bring together notes, images, recordings and files, and turn them into summaries, podcasts and quizzes.
Built With Creatives In Mind
For creators, the Galaxy Tab S12 Series comes with Adobe Photoshop pre-loaded — a first for Android tablets — with an interface optimized for tablet use and S Pen support. Buyers also receive four months of free access to the Photoshop mobile plan.
Other apps include Notability, Goodnotes, LumaFusion, Notion and Clip Studio Paint, with selected free trials and subscription discounts. Additional tools such as MyScript Math, MyScript Notes, Noteshelf 3 and ArcSite cater to students, creatives and professionals.
Price and Availability In Malaysia
The Galaxy Tab S12 Series arrives in Malaysia on 7 October 2026, available in Gray and Silver.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra starts at RM5,999 for the 256GB WiFi model, while the Galaxy Tab S12+ starts at RM4,999 for the 256GB WiFi version. 5G versions are priced at RM6,649 and RM5,649, respectively.
From 7 October to 8 November 2026, eligible customers can also purchase the series from as low as RM127.75 per month and enjoy benefits including pre-loaded applications worth RM1,123.58, Book Cover Keyboard and S Pen accessories worth up to RM1,208, and an up to RM500 rebate at checkout with eligible debit or credit cards, or SPayLater.
For longer-term peace of mind, Samsung Care+ provides coverage including accidental-damage repairs, extended warranty and certified expert support. The tablets also support up to seven times of OS upgrades and security updates.
