Tesla Brings Driverless Cybercab to Malaysia for Nationwide Tour

Tesla Malaysia is bringing its Cybercab to the public for the first time through a nationwide tour starting 29 October 2026.

With no steering wheel, pedals or side mirrors, Cybercab is designed to drive itself, offering passengers a mobile living room experience.

The tour will visit four locations across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Penang, giving visitors an opportunity to explore Tesla’s driverless two-seater designed for its Robotaxi service.

Exploring Tesla Cybercab’s Technology

Built on the technology foundation of the Model 3, Model Y and Model Y L, Cybercab features several familiar Tesla technologies.

These include seamless vehicle and app connectivity, Full Self-Driving capabilities and hardware, personalised driver and passenger profiles, and Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates.

Visitors can also join guided walkthrough sessions held every hour at each tour location. Tesla specialists will introduce Cybercab’s design, interior and technology.

Places are limited, so visitors are encouraged to register early through the official Tesla Cybercab event page.

Those who complete a guided walkthrough or test drive a Model 3, Model Y or Model Y L will receive a mystery gift, while stocks last.

Tesla Cybercab Malaysia Tour Dates and Locations

The nationwide tour will stop at the following locations:

Location Dates
Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur 29 October – 1 November
Sunway Square Mall, Selangor 3 – 9 November
Pavilion Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur 10 – 11 November
Gurney Plaza, Penang 13 – 22 November

Tesla Expands Its Charging Network in Malaysia

Alongside the Cybercab showcase, Tesla Malaysia continues to expand its charging infrastructure.

The company currently operates 21 Supercharger sites with 92 Superchargers, alongside 18 Destination Charging sites with 78 Wall Connectors nationwide.

Six additional charging sites are expected to open by the end of 2026 across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Perak, Seremban and Penang.

Tesla has also helped more than 13,000 Malaysian households charge their vehicles at home.

Its expanding network supports cross-border travel between Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, with charging access along key regional routes. Tesla also offers cross-border warranty coverage, service access and connectivity.

Tesla Offers Limited-Time Incentives

The vision-based technology featured in Cybercab is already available in Tesla vehicles on Malaysian roads, including the Model 3, Model Y and Model Y L.

Visitors can book a test drive during the tour to experience the technology firsthand.

All three models are also eligible for Tesla’s Refer and Earn programme. Owners can share their referral links, earning rewards when friends or family complete a qualifying purchase. These rewards can be redeemed for Supercharging credits, software upgrades and more.

Current incentives include:

  • Model 3: Fixed interest rates from 0% or trade-in rebates of up to RM10,000.
  • Model Y: Fixed interest rates from 0% or trade-in rebates of RM15,000.
