Xventure’s RM8 Million Adventure Park Lands in Penang on 29 October

Xventure, an indoor adventure park operator, is making its foray into Malaysia with its first outlet at The Waterfront Shoppes at The Light City, Penang, on 29 October 2026, following the successful launch in Thailand and Hong Kong, marking the brand’s entry into the country’s leisure and recreational sector.

Xventure is investing RM8 million in the development of its first Malaysian outlet, marking a substantial commitment as the brand enters the country’s leisure and recreational sector. Spanning 1,800 square metres and comprising 11 adventure zones, the Penang park is designed for teenagers, adults, families and groups, extending Xventure’s offering beyond the conventional children’s playground segment.

The Malaysian debut features a mix of physical challenges and technology-enabled activities, including the eight-metre-tall Challenger Arena with an interactive digital tagging system and real-time leaderboard, as well as the 4.5-metre-high Aerial Rope Course and Gigantic Seesaw.

The investment represents a major milestone in Xventure’s expansion, with the Penang outlet serving as the foundation of the brand’s presence in Malaysia while offering a mix of individual challenges, group activities and competitive experiences within The Waterfront Shoppes at The Light City.

Developed as a spin-off from Kiztopia’s established family edutainment business, Xventure extends the group’s expertise into next-generation indoor sportainment.

Heidi Tian, Group CEO and Co-founder of Kiztopia, said: “Penang is home to a diverse consumer base, a vibrant tourism economy and a strong openness to innovative lifestyle and experiential leisure concepts. Choosing Penang as Xventure’s first entry point into Malaysia is an important step in establishing our presence in the market.

“Our ambition is not simply to open another indoor adventure park, but to create a cross-generational leisure destination that brings together physical challenges, interactive technology and social experiences. We want friends, families and corporate groups to challenge themselves and build connections through shared participation, while laying a strong foundation for Xventure’s growth in Malaysia.”

Opening highlight: The eight-metre Challenger Arena puts adventure on the leaderboard

At Xventure, challenges are not simply completed, they can be tracked, compared and ranked.

The Challenger Arena turns physical activity into a measurable competitive experience. Through its interactive digital tagging system and real-time leaderboard, visitors can track their performance, compete for rankings and challenge their friends while completing the arena’s physical activities.

Visitors can also take on the Aerial Rope Course, featuring obstacles positioned 4.5 metres above ground to test courage, coordination and teamwork. The Gigantic Seesaw, billed as the largest of its kind in Penang, introduces a distinctive group challenge centred on balance, coordination and shared participation.

Together, the three signature attractions provide different ways to experience the park, ranging from individual physical challenges and real-time competition to activities built around group participation.

Xventure Penang provides an indoor leisure option for weekend outings, family activities, social gatherings and corporate team-building programmes. Its combination of individual and group challenges allows visitors to participate according to their interests, group size and preferred level of activity.

Corporate team-building participants will receive a certificate of completion for programmes conducted by a certified trainer. Xventure is also working towards offering HRD Corp-claimable training and team-building programmes in the future, expanding the park’s potential as a structured learning and development venue for companies.

Located within The Waterfront Shoppes at The Light City, the park allows visitors to combine their adventure experience with the destination’s shopping and dining offerings. For residents, it introduces a new setting for shared leisure activities; for tourists, it adds an all-weather indoor attraction to a Penang itinerary.

The park offers two-hour and all-day admission, together with two-person and group packages, allowing visitors to choose an option that suits their plans and preferred experience.

Non-peak two-hour admission starts from RM40 for X-Junior and RM60 for X-Plorer, with ticket categories determined by height. Peak-period rates and other package prices vary.

Selected pre-sale tickets and annual-pass promotions will be available ahead of the opening. From 29 October to 1 November, the first 100 customers who purchase a ticket can purchase a second ticket for RM1, while stocks last. Customers collecting their pre-sale tickets on-site on 29 October will also receive an exclusive Xventure gift, subject to the applicable terms and availability.

The park will open to the public at 11.30am on 29 October 2026.

Dr. Annuar bin Mohamed, Director of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Penang State Office (MOTAC Penang), is scheduled to attend the launch as Guest of Honour, alongside Xventure’s co-founders and the senior management of The Waterfront Shoppes at The Light City.

The Penang adventure park will operate daily from 10am to 10pm.
