Garmin Malaysia has introduced the Descent X10, its latest dive computer designed to keep essential diving information within easy reach.
Featuring a 2.1-inch backlit display, the device allows divers to monitor their depth, dive time, oxygen levels and other key metrics.
Whether diving in a pool or exploring the open ocean, users can choose from several dive modes. They can also connect the device to the Garmin Dive app to log and track their diving activities.
Designed for Every Dive: Key Features and Performance
Designed for different diving experiences, the Descent X10 combines practical features with a durable build. Its high-contrast, always-on display features large text for better visibility. The backlight also makes information easier to read in dim underwater conditions.
The device supports three dive profiles: scuba, apnea and gauge. It also comes with a 10 ATM dive rating, making it suitable for different underwater activities.
Battery life is another highlight, offering up to 50 hours of dive time on a single charge. In standby mode, the battery can last up to six months.
Through the Garmin Dive app, users can automatically upload dive logs, tag locations and track equipment usage. They can also use the device simulator to practise different diving scenarios before entering the water.
Another feature is NDL Aware depth metrics, which shows how changes in depth affect a diver’s no-decompression limit (NDL) in real time. Users can also sync settings across compatible Descent dive computers when using a backup device.
A Splash of Colour With Added Protection
Beyond its diving features, the Descent X10 offers room for personalisation. Garmin has introduced replaceable bezel guards, sold separately, in four colours: Amp Yellow, Aqua, Purple Iris and Black.
These plastic guards add a pop of colour while providing an extra layer of protection. The device also comes with a silicone band designed to fit over a wetsuit. Those who prefer different styles can opt for compatible QuickFit bands.
In addition, Garmin has incorporated sustainability into its design. The device’s housing and bezel are made entirely from recycled ocean-bound plastics.
Making Dive Computer Rentals Easier
The Descent X10 also introduces a rental mode for dive shops, schools and charter operators. This feature allows operators to configure devices according to each diver’s skill level.
They can also reset the computers quickly between uses. Meanwhile, the colourful bezel guards make it easier to identify and manage rental equipment.

The Garmin Descent X10 will be available in Malaysia from 24 December 2026, with a suggested retail price of RM1,549.
