Most people already know that kidnapping is a very serious issue in China. It was estimated many children either boys or girls to be missing every year.
To help the issue becoming worse, supermarkets in China have been helping parents searching for their missing child. The supermarkets help by selling bottled water labeled with missing child advertisements.
The advertisements are a campaign that was started by a major Chinese charity organization that helps parents find their missing children. The charity name is Bao Bei Hui Jia, or ‘Baby Come Home’.
It is said that the organizations have cooperated with Lanxiang, a Chinese beverage company to sells the soda water that advertised with information of the missing children.
The bottled water was sold at the price of 1 yuan (RM0.61) each at the supermarkets. It contains various information about the missing children like their picture, their date of birth, alongside the date and location when the children disappeared.
The advertisements also contain a quote that reads: ‘No matter who you are, please help our children return home’.
According to Daily Mail, it is reported that around 200,000 children have been missing or kidnapped every year. From those numbers, only 0.1 percent or 200 children successfully rediscovered.
