Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah issued a statement on his Facebook page that the MOH needs non-MOH medical and health volunteers to help address the third wave of COVID-19.
MOH needs volunteers for the positions of Medical Doctor, Microbiological Science Officer, Environmental Health Officer, Nurse, Assistant Medical Officer, Assistant Environmental Health Officer, Medical Laboratory Technician, X-ray Interpreter, and Public Health Assistant.
The scope of volunteer work required is to perform the following services:
1. Temperature screening/symptoms at health facilities / international entrances / quarantine stations.
2. COVID-19 contact/sampling investigation in the field.
3. Care/treatment of patients in the hospital.
The conditions for participating in this volunteer service are:
1. Registered with a professional body that regulates the applicant’s practice; (for related)
2. Healthy and fit physically and mentally
3. Willing to work in locations where needed.
4. No close contact history with COVID-19 case within 14 days.
