One New Polio Case Detected In Sabah – KKM

Ministry Of Health, Malaysia (KKM) confirms that there is another polio case in Sabah involving 3-year-old children in Sandakan. The children were believed to be not a Malaysian citizen

According to what is stated by KKM’s Twitter, it was also confirmed that the child had never received a polio vaccine since birth.

The child had symptoms of left leg weakness on January 18, 2020, and was hospitalized and is in stable condition.

The following is also a press release from KKM related to polio’s current issue in Sabah.

This has resulted in 4 polio cases being recorded in Sabah as of March 8, 2020.
