The problem of bad breath or also known as Halitosis can affect a person’s confidence to talk and socialize. However, there are also those who are unaware that they have this smelly mouth problem that causes people around to be uncomfortable.
This problem may seem small for some people but you may be shunned by friends at work, campus, or at school just because of Halitosis.
But do not worry because the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) through a tweet has shared ways to avoid bad breath.
Follow the list below:
- Brush your tongue every time you brush your teeth
- Floss teeth once a day
- Use a dessert recommended by a dentist
- Clean your dentures daily
- Avoid dry mouth by drinking enough water
- Reduce foods that smell strong
- Avoid cigarettes and alcohol
- Perform scaling and patch treatment
- Perform a dental examination at the clinic once every 6 months
- Brush your teeth 2 times a day
