Freddy Budiman, an Indonesian man born in Surabaya was a drug dealer who was caught and sentenced to death. He is the younger brother of the infamous Eko Subagyo, who was also caught for dealing drugs. Different from other inmates, Freddy is known for his ability to easily developed a group of drug dealers and dispensed his own drugs even in prisons.

Freddy Budiman had been caught and imprisoned many times before he was sentenced to 18 years for drug cases in Sumatra. He served his term in Cipinang prison that was able to run a drug business even in jail. In 2012, he was sentenced to death.
The death sentence made a lot of improvement to him as a man. He started to repent and spent his last days with religious practices, such as praying and reciting the Quran. He was executed on the 29th of July 2016.
Before being executed, death row inmates are allowed to submit the last three requests. But revealed by Freddy Budiman’s son, he said that his father’s last request was not granted.

“One of his last requests was to be able to sleep with me in his prison room,” said Muhammad Fikri Fernanda Budiman.
The request was rejected because it might affect Fikri’s psychological condition.
“We have tried to debate, (by saying) this child is an adult, and psychologically it will not be disturbed because the child is strong,” said Fikri in an interview on the YouTube channel Gritte Agatha.
However, the two of them still spent some time together where Freddy reminded his son to be strong for the other siblings and to stay away from drug dealing.
