Around 500 Million People Locked Up Around The World Because Of The Coronavirus Outbreak

As many as 500 million people are subjected to lockdown steps worldwide due to the coronavirus outbreak that began in China and is rapidly spreading across the globe.

According to AFP, the government has informed its people to stay indoors to try and slow down the spread of pandemics.

Hubei province and the capital city of Wuhan, where the virus began last year, has been ‘cut off’ from the world since late January.

Quarantine was still in effect, but the movement restrictions dropped on March 14 for the people in the province.

It is believed that eight other countries have followed China in enforcing sanctions: Italy (March 10), Spain (March 14), Lebanon (March 15), Czech Republic (March 16), France, Israel, and Venezuela (March 17). Lastly, Belgium since March 18.

Several countries have taken more targeted steps including Egypt that has locked up all workers in the Red Sea tourist area.

Bulgaria has put the ski town of Bansko in quarantine.

Four countries consist of Austria, Britain, Germany, and Iran have urged people to limit their movements and relations without sacrificing deficits.

While six countries or territories have imposed curfews banning night and day movements in Tunisia, Bolivia, Serbia, the United States in New Jersey and Puerto Rico, and Manila, the Philippine Capital.
