EPL Extended Until At Least April 30 Amid Coronavirus

The Football Association of England (FA) has agreed to extend the 2019/2020 season, while extending the suspension of all leagues by at least April 30.

Last week, the FA stopped the English Premier League (EPL), English Football League, domestic competition and women’s professional matches following the outbreak of the Covid-19 outbreak that was affecting the sports world.

The FA board has confirmed that this season will continue even beyond June 1 to complete the 2019/20 season league finals.

According to league rules, this season should end no later than June 1, 2020, but all precautions are taken to ensure this league is completed.

In the EPL competition, Liverpool leads the league with 25 points ahead of their closest rivals Manchester City and needs just six points to emerge as the first champions in 30 years.
