THE LATEST: Malaysia Records 11th COVID-19 Death

As been confirmed by the Ministry of Health (KKM) tweet, one additional death case because of COVID-19 has been reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Center (CPRC). This latest report brings the cumulative number of COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia to eleven (11) people so far.

According to the KKM, this eleventh case (1070 case) is a 70-year-old Malaysian citizen with a history of chronic illness. He has a history of traveling to Indonesia in February 2020. KKM is also informed that he is the Chairman of the local surau at his places.

He started showing symptoms a week before being admitted to the Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz UKM on March 18, 2020. He was positively diagnosed with COVID-19 on March 19, 2020, and was given respiratory care at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). His health deteriorated day by day and he was declared dead on March 22, 2020, at 9.05 pm.
