THE LATEST: RM130 Million For All States To Mitigate Covid-19 – Prime Minister

The government has agreed to channel an additional RM130 million for state governments to address the COVID-19 crisis.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the allocation could be used to provide assistance to hawkers and small traders affected by COVID-19.

“Assistance to patients and their family members and provide the needs of state-level personnel involved in the crisis.

“A fair allocation will be given to each state regardless of which party formed the state,” he said in his special message today.

“That is why I view the party regardless of political affiliation and must work together to address the crisis we are facing.

“Protecting the safety, health, and lives of the people is our responsibility beyond the political boundaries,” he added.
