A group of deer on Nara Island, Japan, reportedly wandered in search of food. It is believed to be starving because of decreasing numbers in tourist arrivals due to COVID-19 hitting the world today.
Tourists used to get food such as rice snacks from sales stalls around the island to give to deer.
Because of this, the deer usually do not have to leave their habitat for food.
Several pictures and videos on social media show that deer searching for food in urban areas, including eating grass near a nearby park.
