The Minister of Defense advised Malaysian students abroad to remain and obey the order of the country.
“We advise (not restrict) our students who are abroad to stay in the country.
“Some countries have strict procedures for getting out of the country,” he said.
He added that the government had previously taken students from Egypt through Brunei.
“There is no issue they cannot return. But as I said earlier, from the UK, the US who want to return there may have restrictions, they must obey the country they are in.”
“My advice is to stay in their country.”
But if anyone does return, they will continue to be taken to the quarantine center once they arrive in Malaysia, he said.
