5 Low-No Calorie Foods To Help You Lose Weight

According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, eating fewer calories doesn’t necessarily mean eating less food. To be able to cut calories without eating less and feeling hungry, you need to replace some higher calorie foods with foods that are lower in calories and fill you up.

If you are trying to decrease your total calorie intake, eating low-calorie foods as below is an easy way to achieve your goal.

1. Cinnamon

Cinnamon not only adds flavor to the cake but is also a healthy way to sweeten coffee and is certainly good for your health.

Although it is healthier than sugar, cinnamon still contains calories. One teaspoon of cinnamon contains about six calories.

Even so, cinnamon is believed to be safer for people who have diabetes because it can control blood sugar.

2. Sugar-Free Candy

We are often fooled by sugar-free labels. Though that does not mean it’s calorie-free. One sugar-free gum has about five calories.

Chewing gum is the most fun while busy doing other things. But remember, don’t keep eating one by one. There will be more calories produced.

3. Soda Diet

You must have seen the calorie-free claims on diet soda cans because they contain artificial sweeteners, gels, and fiber that are not absorbed by the intestinal tract.

The problem with artificial sweeteners is that they confuse the brain in terms of the detection of sweetness, insulin signals, and hunger or satiety signals.

Research shows that drinking lots of diet soda can actually gain weight.

4. Celery

Although celery is mostly fiber and water, it still has calories.

But the amount of calories it has is really low, which makes it a weight loss friendly.

5. Spirulina

Spirulina is a type of algae that contains minerals, vitamins, and protein. One tablespoon of dried spirulina contains about 20 calories and four grams of protein.

Spirulina can also help people who have allergies. It was found that people who suffer from allergic rhinitis when consuming 2,000 milligrams of spirulina every day show good effects.
