Australia Trade Minister, Simon Birmingham said that the country will remains to not reopen its border for international travelers until 2021. But, it will look to relax the entry rules for students and other long-term visitors.
According to Birmingham, the quarantine rule might be applied for returning citizens consist of international students and visitors who plan to stay for a very long time in Australia.
“We can simply work through the 14-day quarantine periods that have worked so well in terms of returning Australians to this country safely,” said the Trade Minister.

As stated by Reuters, Australia has more than 7,300 cases of COVID-19 while 102 people have died from the infection.
On Wednesday, the country has recorded its biggest daily rise in new infections in more than a month. Most of them in Victoria. Victoria has reported 21 new cases overnight and 15 of them was returning travelers in quarantine.
