Cinema, Theater And Live Event Allowed To Start Operate From July 1st 2020 But In A Closed Areas

As said by Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on today’s press conference, cinema and theater were allowed to operate starting on July 1st 2020.

According to him, all of these activities are only allowed to operate in closed areas or closed halls and must follow the SOP.

“The SOP must also be strict in terms of entry control, in terms of the number of not more than 250 people per show and subject to the area of the hall,” said Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri.

“If the social incarceration of one meter is less than 250, then it is less than 250 and we cannot even say 250, they cannot allow 250 spectators, it must be based on the size of the hall,” he added.

“Until today, it is still 250, and before the regular SOP. Check for body temperature, wear face masks, hand washes with sanitizer. There must also be a sign for social distancing inside the cinema or stage. So, we allow it to start operating from July 1st,” he said.
